Windows Chartplotting with OpenCPN

Because I’ve been lent a really fantastic little gadget by BP – a Sprint/Netgear USB cellular modem which has built-in GPS (even when out of range or not using data), I can run a chartplotter (navigation software) on the laptop I bought for the trip. OpenCPN is free software, and the maps are free (well, paid for with our tax dollars), and I can load GRIB files to overlay weather on the chart. So we’ll be better prepared and safer than we would have been otherwise. Thanks, BP!
