Here are the castings from the oil boiler that failed. I converted the cottage to electric heat plus a woodstove. Each casting weighs about 100 pounds and there are four of them. I took them to be recycled. I recall reading an article about a beautiful mountain and valley in MN that still exist because the metal under the mountain isn’t needed thanks to recycling efforts.
